During the Bangkok Design Week 2022 we get a chance to explore the inside of the abandoned mall in Bangkok. It was built too tall, 7 stories, which violated zoning regulations for the area. After an attempt to demolish the top 3 floors it was boarded up. A few years later it caught on fire destroying the roof. In the tropics an open roof means water will build up inside. The new pond became home to mosquitoes so the locals turned it into a fish pond. Normally it’s locked up but with the exhibition for Bangkok Design Week we were allowed a rare chance inside.
