A very unique temple in Bangkok. A french street artist was commissioned to paint murals in the main hall. Traditionally they are painted by hand but not in this hall. The murals are one of a kind and worth a look.
Wat Ko วัดเกาะ is a Buddhist temple over 320 years old in Taling Chan District, Bangkok. The temple was built during the late Ayutthaya period, but the exact builder is unknown. It is located on a land surrounded by two waterways Khlong Bang Chueak Nang and Khlong Bang Noi, hence the name "Wat Ko", which means "island temple".
This temple is believed to have been built during the late Ayutthaya period, more than 300 years ago. The principle Buddha named Luang Pho Dam (หลวงพ่อดำ) is enshrined in a sanctuary with a Chinese-styled roof.
