A 20-meter-tall stupa at Bangkok’s Phraya Tham Temple collapsed during restoration efforts on September 25th, 2018 injuring 11 and killing 1 worker. The stupa is one of the most unique that you will ever see. It’s known as the giant stupa because of the 4 giants around the base. I stopped by to see the temple and reconstruction efforts. It’s still at least a year away from being finished. The Ayutthaya era hall was also closed during my visit so I just took a few pictures.
