Wat Phrom Akat
Wat Prong Akat was built in 1977. The land was donated by the locals to build the temple. The total area is 48 acres.
The concept of the Taj Mahal feom India was incorporated into the design. It is characterized by 3 pagodas the middle one being a large stupa. On the side is a retinue of the stupa. Inside the temple there is a Ganesha Buddha park, where a large Ganesha statue sits in the posture of giving blessings. Using a total of 196 pillars and is also enshrined the Buddha's relics from India.
The temple also has the images of Luang Pho Sothon, Luang Pho Wat Ban Laem, Luang Pho To, Luang Pho Wat Rai Khing and Luang Pho Wat Khao Takrao.
It’s an interesting temple located out in the country east of Bangkok and worth a short look for anyone in the area that likes Thai temples.
