This is the second part of my canal tour in Nonthaburi. The tour took about 9 hours with 11 different places to see.
One of the best ways to experience Bangkok is by boat. I was lucky enough to find a tour of Nonthaburi as a cultural heritage awareness event. The tour was sponsored by the local communities to raise awareness of some of the unseen parts of the area. The event was free to the public and only available on the first 2 Sundays of January and February 2023.
The tour started off at the Nonthaburi pier with short stops at the Chinese shrine and museum of Nonthaburi. From there we went by boat on the Chaopraya River and up the Klong Om Non Canal. There were a total of 11 different locations with a final stop on the popular island of Koh Kret.
The tour gave everyone a chance to see things that are normally not seen as well as experience Thai culture through traditional dance and music.

Tawean Beach Koh Larn

Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawiharn วัดกัลยาณมิตรวรมหาวิหาร Thonburi is a second class royal temple under the Woramahawihan class. It is considered a priceless temple of Thon Buri and was constructed during the reign of King Rama III on the bank of the Chao Phraya River at the mouth of Khlong Bangkok Yai.
Initially, Chao Phraya Nikhon Bodin (To Kalayanamit) donated his house and land to King Rama III and bought additional land nearby to build a temple in 1825. The King bestowed the name Wat Kalayanamit. Wat Chanasongkhram Ratchaworamahawiharn วัดชนะสงครามราชวรมหาวิหาร usually shortened to Wat Chana Songkhram วัดชนะสงคราม is a second-class royal monastery in Chana Songkram Sub-district, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok Thailand.
It has a rich history dating back to the Ayutthaya period.
Originally named "Wat Klang Na," it was renamed to "Wat Chana Songkhram" to honor the Siamese soldiers who fought in the Burmese-Siamese War in 1767.
