Kata and Kata Noi are often listed in the top 5 beaches in all of Thailand. The combination of amazing sand, surrounding area and atmosphere make it a must see beach. I’ve stayed in the area many times and it’s always where I want to stay each time.
Kata Beach is a 1.5-km strip of golden sand and is considered one of the most popular beaches in Phuket due to its combination of beauty, facilities and activities. Hundreds of people come each day to soak up the sun and swim in the sea. Often busy, this beach is pleasing in many ways, with amazing sea and sand as well as convenient amenities.
Kata Noi Beach is located just to the south over a small hill from Kata Besch. At about 700 metres long, it's one of Phuket's smaller beaches. Soft sand, crystal clear water, and the lush green jungle backdrops are the main draws here. Kata Noi is on a dead-end road, so the only traffic you might encounter is if you're looking for a place to park your car.
