Port makes a road trip to the north east for an important game. Sitting second in the table they trail Buriram by goal differential. It’s early in the season so will be a nice test for Port on the road. Khon Kaen always plays well at home so it makes for a good matchup. Last year was a 0-0 draw with Port losing the year before 1-0.
We jumped on the super fan bus with a 6am meet up in Bangkok and then ride the 500 km to the stadium to watch the game. The weather forecast called for rain and we were greeted with a heavy downpour that delayed the start of the game. Field conditions were sloppy with lots of standing water but that just made for a very competitive match. Lots of action with an amazing finish.
